Iran, Russia Sign MoU to Broaden Air Transportation Cooperation
(FNA)- The civil aviation organizations of Iran and Russia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to expand air transport cooperation, Iranian Ambassador to Moscow Mehdi Sanayee announced.
"The MoU was signed between the two countries' air transportation sector," Sanayee wrote on his Facebook page on Tuesday.
The Iranian ambassador noted that the MoU allows the Iranian and Russian airlines to increase the number of their flights.
In March, Sanayee said that Tehran and Moscow plan to considerably boost their trade exchanges in the near future.
"The two countries (Iran and Russia) are serious about increasing the value of their trade exchanges to $70 billion," Sanayee told FNA .
He noted that the conditions are set for Iranian investors and industrialists to cooperate with Russian investors, and "utmost use should be made of this opportunity."
Sanayee reiterated that Iranian and Russian banks have facilitated financial transactions between the two countries.
He underlined that Russian investors are willing to further expand their cooperation with Iranian businessmen.
